ENGINEERING UNIVERSITIES ENTRY TEST INFORMATION
For admission to engineering institutions of the Punjab Engineering and technology programs as per the direction of the Government of Punjab, the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore conducts the combined Entrance Test for admission to Public Sector Engineering and Technology institutions of Punjab. Per Pakistan Engineering Council letters No. PEC/EAD/45-VCC/Edu-Policy/ 2022 dated 31-08-2022 and No. PEC/EAD/45-VCC/Edu-Policy/2022 dated:28-09-2022, this Entrance Test is now mandatory for admission in the undergraduate engineering/technology programs of public/ private engineering institutions of the Punjab.
A common Entrance Test for admission into
B.Sc. Engineering and B.Sc. Engineering Technology Programs of the Punjab is
conducted each year. The test centre date and time for both the Orientation
Session and the Entrance Test is chosen by the candidate and are printed on
their Admit Card. For further details and updates kindly visit the admission
portal, admission.uet.edu.pk on a regular
basis.
Test Centres
A fifteen minutes orientation session, for
familiarizing the candidates with the computer-based test, is conducted, in
one of the following Centers at the allotted time:

Centers at the allotted time.
WHO CAN APPEAR IN THE ENTRANCE TEST OF UET?
Anyone who meets the requirements can take
the Entry Test, however, appearance on the Test does not mean admission in the
Engineering and Engineering Technology institutions of the Punjab as it is
based on merit.
GETTING THE ENTRANCE TEST TOKEN FOR THE UET TEST
The applicant needs to log on to UET admission portal, admission.uet.edu.pk via a token on payment of Fee. The token number can be obtained in two ways:
(1) HBL online banking if you are an HBL account holder, or
(2) HBL KONNECT if you are not an HBL account holder.
In either case above the token number is your challan number, which is valid
until the last date.
UET ENTRANCE TEST ADMIT CARD
Reprint of UET Entry test Admit Cards is
permitted until the day of the test. Kindly visit the admission portal for
instructions and details.
STANDARD OF THE TEST AND SUBJECTS TO BE TESTED
a) The Test would be of Intermediate/FSC
level. It is offered in the following combinations:
(1) Intermediate/FSC Physics. Mathematics, English and Chemistry
(2) Intermediate/FSC Physics, Mathematics. English and Computer
Science
(3) Intermediate/FSC Physics, Mathematics, English and Statistics
and
(4) Intermediate/FSC Physics, Biology,
English and Chemistry
The duration of the Test will be hundred
minutes. Ten Enty test questions will be related to English and the ninety,
will equally be divided amongst the other subjects. Each correct answer is
worth four points and for every incorrect answer one point will be deducted.
Minimum passing score in the Entrance Test of UET is 33%.
b) The candidates should select a
combination, from the above choices, depending on their taught
subjects in Intermediate (or equivalent).
c) DAE 3 years Diploma qualified candidates can only choose from the following
two options:
Physics, Mathematics. English and Chemistry
or
Physics, Mathematics, English and Computer
Science.
SUPPORT FOR PRINTING OF ADMIT CARDS
If required, the candidates may use the computer
and printer facility, available at any of the test Centers, listed above, during
working days.
REQUIREMENT OF PHOTO ID
At test centers Failure to present a photo-ID may result in expulsion from the Test Center. Any of the Following forms of photo IDs are valid:
(1) Computerized National Identity Card CNIC/NICOP
(2) Juvenile Card issued by NADRA
(3) Matric/Intermediate certificate carrying photograph.
(4)A Computerized domicile certificate bearing a photograph, Or
(5) a Pass Passport, Or
(6) a Statement of Entry in case of students. "A" Level
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
a) A candidate who misses the Entrance Test
in the allotted centre during the allotted time slot is not permitted to retake
the exam.
b) Since the test is fully automated, no re-checking facility is provided.
